Manga day: The Rush
Due to net problems this article has been uploaded a day late. Happy Manga day all, Q here with a simple update. I don’t think I’ll do as heave an article today as I’m currently working on a 3DS first impression for MLB 14 The Show. So this week I may be much more brief that I usual am in my Manga day updates. Not much of an intro right? I know, please forgive me 😉
One Piece 743
OK to start with. This week’s One Piece started out as a formality sort of chapter. I got it later than I got Naruto (great chapter this week btw) which means that I did not get it in time for my morning loo time. I had to read it later in the day but it was well worth the wait. First off gotta love that Vivi cover pic. Nothing says great reading like a princess in a short tennis outfit “Oh my” (George Takei voice). So with every one turning back from their toy forms it made for some interesting turn around scenarios that had smiling from cheek to cheek. I could just tell that shit was gonna get F#@ked up at Dressrosa and I was right, more right than I thought would be. Zoro got abandoned in his fight which leads me to think everyone on Joker’s team was in retreat. What bugged me about this was the way Zoro was panting, wtf was that? You are Zoro for crying out loud. You have to assert your dominance and panting is not doing it. The way Usopp played off his epic luck was classic Usopp lol. It doesn’t seem like he is ever going to become a serious character in the series, kinda like Krillin in DBZ. You know that one bloke that is OK-strong but a wimp and under-powered when compared to his friends. The fear in Joker’s eyes was also a high moment in this chapter for me. Normally that arrogant prick just strikes me as an over confident jerk, so seeing him like this brought delight to me as I read, however the end was the Highlight. I won’t spoil it just know that Curos is a Boss and Sabo is a monster. 😀 Now go read the chapter if you have not already.
Nozomi X Kimio As I stated above this Manga day update will be brief. So this is the only other manga that I will mention other than the Usual One Piece chapter Review. Nozomi X Kimio is a current on-going manga by Honna Wakou, original creator of one of my favourite manga Nozoki Ana. This Fresh series follows a similar part as his previous work only in a different but still interesting way. The art style borrows a lot from Nozoki ana which is great because that manga was just spot on with th0se super cute faces and well Ouh lala. :p
Main character Suga Kimio finds himself hiding in the girls locker room, unable to move or escape the situation as the girls in his school crowd in. Although he originally had no ulterior motives, he found himself panicking as he heard the girls coming in and hid in a locker. Komine Nozomi, one of the shy girls in his class finds him, but surprisingly covers for him. Perplexed but glad, Kimio goes home. Later that night, he gets a text from Nozomi who happens to live across the way on the same floor of the complex they both live in. She blackmails him into agreeing to show each other’s bodies when she texts him. Kimio has to abide by Nozomi’s insane demands or risk ruining his school life so they both start their little peep show through each other’s windows… 😉 Ok that’s it for this week.
