FIFA 15 PC gamers getting ignite engine

Last year we the FIFA PC community were offered a watered down version of the game, the current gen version. It was not a perfect version, not even close, but it kept us entertained for a year, and so I say thank you to the guys at EA Canada. I spent most of the experience this past year playing ultimate team and I’m still playing it, heck I even spent some money on DLC, (yeah I Q that can’t stand micro transactions actually bought some gold packs). It was an experience, but I yearned for the experience that my current gen brethren were having on the Xbox One and PS4. I Tried patches and Mods, none changed the game to what was currently available on those platforms, but some did enhance the experience, most notably sweetFX.

So this year I was hoping with very little faith that EA would not forsake us, and that they would actually bring a proper engine that we on PC can be proud of. That wishful thinking has been answered and according to the Origin Pre-order page the PC version will be sporting the new ignite engine with a few new features added to this year’s iteration of the franchise. Some of those new features are just enhanced or ported from last year’s current gen version, and others are new like the living pitch. The Pitch in the new games is supposed to come alive with Stadiums are alive and full of the emotion that only football can create. Playing surfaces wear down as the match progresses, with boot marks, slide tackles, and debris visible on the pitch. Corner flags move, goal frames shake, and animated LED ad boards bring FIFA 15 to life.

This year I am happy with what they are offering us on PC and you should be too. FIFA 15 will be out on September 23 2014. I hope we all get a chance to experience the game on day one “Hala Madrid”.
