Playstation Heroes: gamers and celebrities unite for good

Playstation Heroes

How would you like to play games  against celebrities like Shaun White or Snoop Dogg? What if you were helping charities like Make a Wish, The V Foundation for cancer reasearch, and the USO at the same time?

This month, Sony launches  Playstation Heroes. Every month, Playstation 4 users have the opportunity to purchase special themes for extra chances to game with a celebrity. The special downloadable theme for March includes drawings for a chance to play Destiny against snowboarder Shaun White. You can spend between $1 and $20, earning between 1 and 31 extra chances to win. 90% of the price of these themes goes directly to charity, this month to The Make a Wish Foundation.

Beginning this month, Playstation 4 gamers can download the Playstation Heroes app. The app will update your homepage when new themes arrive, so you can see which celebrity you could win a match against and what charity you have the opportunity to support by buying themes. In future months, gamers will have the chance to play against Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig, Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry, and rapper Snoop Dogg.

Play games with celebrities while making the world a better place? Sounds like a winner.
