“The Legend of Zelda” — Full NES Playthrough!

The Legend of Zelda is a true classic for the original NES and Famicom Disk System, and there’s no denying that it was a ground-breaking game that paved the way for adventure games of all sorts over the nearly three decades since its release. And, given my own work on my Zelda fan-game, I figured it was time to give this game a shot live on The Retro Play Show!

For this episode, my good friend Warren C. Bennett joined in to offer guest commentary as we explored Hyrule on a quest to gather the fragments of the Triforce of Wisdom and put a stop to the evil Ganon’s plans. All-in-all it was a good run. We spend only a couple hours actually playing the game itself, get all the major items and heart containers, and clear the first quest. Personally, I think this was a very good run, and perhaps a bit less traditional since we went after a lot of power-ups before even setting foot in the first dungeon!

I hope you guys enjoy this video, and please don’t forget to follow my Twitch channel!
