AMD leaks Windows 10 release date

AMD windows 10 leak

Many of us Tech enthusiast have been excited for the launch of Microsoft’s next operating system since it was first shown back in April last year. This is because this new OS “promises” quite a lot of improvements for PC users of every type. For those of us that are gamers we’re counting on DirectX12 being a huge boost on our current tech, and for that cross platform play between PC and Xbox. For the business world we’re looking forward to the multitasking features that the OS offers, Cortana and the ability to have our data securely synced between all our devices. Then there are the average users, the students, the moms, and dads. They can expect the familiar look of window 7, but with all the bells and whistles that windows 8 offered and more. Windows 10 has a lot to offer us and we have a lot of questions about it, but there is just one question that I feel matters more that the others to us and that is, When is it going to be released?

We had a basic idea of a release date in summer of 2015, but now we may have more of an average date thanks to AMD. Like all other computer hardware manufactures that develop components for PCs, Advance Micro Devices are placing a lot of hope on Windows 10 being a success. The company revealed that they expect that the new OS should launch at the end of July 2015.

“What we also are factoring in is, with the Windows 10 launch at the end of July, we are watching the impact of that on the back-to-school season, and expect that it might have a bit of a delay to the normal back-to-school season inventory buildup,”

said Lisa Su, chief executive officer of AMD, in the company’s quarterly conference call with investors and financial analysts.

As AMD is one of the biggest hardware manufactures for PC components, I think that we can safely bet on this information being very close to accurate.

So are you looking forward to windows 10?

  1. While it may be true, i wouldn’t bank on it. Both AMD and Nvidia have been wrong in the past. What i see happening in July is Win 10 being sent to developers, both hard and software. They need the time to patch their software, implement new hardware etc. I’d say we’re more likely to see it released at the end of August/September
