“Legionwood: Tale of the Two Swords” — The 1st Hour!!

Legionwood: Tale of the Two Swords is an indie fantasy-RPG developed by Dark Gaia and released in 2010-2011 completely free of charge. The game, which is the first in a three-part saga (to date – more games are planned!), is a very solid effort built with the tools available in RPG Maker VX. Since the game has been out for a while, and I’ve had it in my downloads directory on my computer, I decided to give it a go and record my initial experiences with the game. For now, this is planned as a one-off video, but if you guys enjoy it, I’ll consider keeping the cameras rolling and recording more of it for you! 🙂

In this segment, we get a bit of backstory and then our story starts off in the town of Upperthorne. For reasons you’ll see as we play the game (it all starts out innocently enough!), we head out into the wider world and venture into a cave and battle an Ogre (all while taking a failed pit-stop to the sewers in an attempt to finish a side-quest, but getting beaten to all heck in the process!), and finally make our way to the capital of the Charn Kingdom.

So far, I think the game is very fun and it’s a solid effort. There are parts that if you aren’t spending time leveling up, you’ll get whipped really fast, though, so it’s a game that can be taken lightly at first, but which you’ll need to really pay attention on as you progress.

If you enjoy what you see here, please subscribe to my channel, and then head this way to get the game free of charge!
