PSN Sale of the Dead Week 2
Like a horror movie monster you can’t keep down, Sony is back with a huge list of scarily discounted games to haunt your PlayStation consoles. This week you can grab Walking Dead Season 1, or the complete season of Resident Evil Revelations 2 at a great price. If you aren’t into episodic gaming, Murdered: Soul Suspect is a unique spin on the detective story where you are a ghost solving your own murder, or you can go slowly mad with the Evil Within. There are some cross-platform titles like Whispering Willows, a game that looks a bit like Okami for the Vita called Sumioni, and if you are a Resident Evil fan, there are a ton of titles to choose from.
If you’d like to grip your controller with fear this Halloween week, check out the list below. As always, tune in to the Plug and Play show to hear my thoughts on these and other games, and if you pick up one of these games, or have a recommendation, let us know in the comments!
Murdered: Soul Suspect is a guilty pleasure. It was a fun little paranormal detective game ruined by the worst stealth segments in recent memory. Well worth the $8 or so. I was tempted to snag the Resident Evil remaster on Xbox since it’s on their weekly sale, but it’s $3 cheaper on PS4.. so yeah. $15 for Revelations 2 isn’t bad either.
It’s nice to run into someone else who enjoyed Murdered:Soul Suspect. Like you said, it’s flawed, but I had a fun time with it.
I liked the characters, the story, and their mash-up design of spectral/current Boston. It was genuinely fun, I just didn’t like the stealth portions. They were awful and had no reason to be there in the first place. They’re few and far between though, so if anyone is in to adventure games (not survival horror) and the paranormal, it’s an easy sell. Especially for $8.
