Every single day, VR continues to look like an appealing proposition to me. I think there is no better way to continue cementing those feelings for me than to add adorable anime girls into the mix, especially if one of those girls is Hatsune Miku.
In addition to the VR support that Project Diva X will be getting, there will also be a separate app call Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live, which will be an all-encompassing, immersive Miku experience exclusive to Playstation VR. The Project Diva X VR features will come as a free patch, while VR Future Live will have a price that is still yet to be announced, though I don’t see it costing much.
Basically, you play as a normal person in the audience waiting for Miku’s performance. Your PS Move controller turns into a glow stick that you can wave around to the rhythm as you watch Miku sing. Hopefully there is more to it than just that, but I’m still excited to see it in action for myself. The app will release on October 14, one day after PSVR releases.
