Cristiano Ronaldo Beats Out Messi For Top Spot In FIFA 17

We’re less than a month away from getting our paws on the newest version of EA’s annual football sim, FIFA 17, which means fans of FUT (FIFA Ultimate Team) are curious about the new update, and with that comes new player ratings for all the players currently active in the world game.

Last week we did an article on the top 50 players while they were being revealed, and now we finally know who took the top 3 slots, and in what order they did:

Ronaldo FUT 17 Card

  1. Cristiano Ronaldo

  2. Lionel Messi

  3. Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior

We all expected these 3 to be among the top, but I have to admit it’s a bit extra nice to see a Real Madrid player on the top, “Hala Madrid”…. Just on the off chance that you don’t listen to Buttonsmashers Podcast, which you should, I’m a Real Madrid fan. That aside I can see why the team at EA decided to give him the top slot. He did win the champions league with Real last season and then the Euros with Portugal, and he was an instrumental factor for both teams winning, even if he didn’t play at full capacity throughout both competitions.

Though we know his ratings, It’s still gonna be a while till we can use this new CR7 in FIFA 17. While Konami has already released a playable demo for PES 2017, FIFA 17’s demo will be available on September 13.

If the Gamescom’s demo is the same then we can expect:

Teams:

Real Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea, Olympique Lyonnais, Paris Saint-Germain, Seattle Sounders, Tigres UANL, FC Bayern Monaco, Gamba Osaka, Inter, Juventus

Stadiums:

Stamford Bridge, Suita City Football Stadium, Centuitylink Field

FIFA 17 will be released on September 27th 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Android, iOS, Microsoft Windows.
