New Upcoming NIS America Games Announced!

For this entire week, our friends at NIS America have been announcing game, after game, after game. The publisher opened the flood gates just after the live stream they held earlier this week on their twitch channel.

The first announcement to drop was the release date for Birthdays the Beginning, which will will be coming to North America on March 7, and Europe on March 10! The game will be available on PlayStation®4 (physical and digital) as well as on Steam®, and will contain in-game text in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish.

About the game:
From the creator of Harvest Moon, Mr. Yasuhiro Wada (TOYBOX Inc.), comes Birthdays the Beginning: a new sandbox game in which players create cube-shaped worlds that give rise to diverse and unique lifeforms. With careful experimentation, players can shape the geography and alter the temperature of each world to create the conditions for life and witness the birth of an entire ecosystem!

Then we got an announcement for Cladun Returns: This is Sengoku! This title will be coming to North America and Europe in Spring 2017 on the PlayStation®4 (physical and digital), PlayStation®Vita (digital-only), and Steam®!

About the story:
Set in Japan’s Sengoku Era, you wake up in the mysterious land of Arcanus Cella where the souls of the dead gather as they await reincarnation. However, some souls have unfinished business that needs to be settled before they can reincarnate. As the player, you will assist these souls by traveling to real-world locations in feudal Japan and fighting your way through dangerous dungeons filled with monsters and traps.

After that we got an announcement for the puzzle platformer, A Rose in the Twilight (originally released in Japan as Roze to Tasogare no Kojou). It is scheduled to be released in North America and Europe in Spring 2017 on the PlayStation®Vita as both a physical and digital release, as well as on Steam®!

In North America, the Standard and Limited Edition will be available exclusively on the NIS America Online Store. Europe, will only have a Limited Edition version of the game, and it will be available exclusively on the NISA Europe Online Store.

About the story:
A girl awakens in a castle void of color and time, affixed with the Curse of Thorns upon her back. After meeting a sleeping giant, the two work together to escape. Help them unravel the mystery of the thorns and the history behind the somber castle.

NIS America then announced something that grabbed my attention even more than the others, the dungeon crawling RPG, Operation Babel: New Tokyo Legacy. The game will be coming to North America and Europe in Spring 2017 on the PlayStation®Vita as both a physical and digital release, as well as digitally on Steam®! And… last but certainly not least, they announced Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls, which will be arriving on the PlayStation®4 as both a physical and digital release in summer 2017 in North America and Europe!

Originally released in 2015 on the PS Vita, Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls is a spin-off action-adventure game that connects the critically acclaimed mystery adventures Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair.

About the game:
Komaru Naegi, little sister to Makoto Naegi, has been imprisoned inside a mysterious apartment for over a year. One day, she is rescued by Byakuya Togami of Future Foundation, but the rescue is derailed by a sudden attack of hundreds of Monokumas. Komaru soon discovers that the city has been taken over by a group of children calling themselves the Warriors of Hope. Their leader, Monaca, declares that the city will be the site of a “children’s paradise,” and to accomplish this, all the adults will be exterminated. Komaru teams up with Toko Fukawa to try to survive the rampaging Monokumas, escape the crafty Monokuma Kids, and uncover the secrets of the city.

WOW… that was a lot to cover in one article, and I’m sure it was a lot for you to read, but damn did NIS America come out swinging, and I’m sure they sent a good portion of us flying into 2017 with excitement for what’s to come.
