Assassin’s Creed Origins Confirmed

Its official. Announced today during the Xbox Live E3 Press Briefing, Assassin’s Creed Origins has been confirmed for release later this year across all platforms. There’s been a lot of speculation and leaks about the latest entry to the Assassin’s Creed franchise but the game has finally been publicly acknowledged, with some gameplay footage to boot.

This time around players take up the role of BaYek, an Egyptian sheriff as her returns home to Siwa, his hometown. The gameplay preview revealed a few nifty new tricks that already seem to differentiate this game from others in the series so far. Some of these advances include the hawk eye system in which BaYek actually uses his feathered friend to help him spy on his surroundings and get the lay of the land. The combat system has also been reinvigorated with a few new tricks that promise to keep things interesting.

With Ubisoft’s own press conference still to come we can most likely expect a few more details tomorrow, but for now we know everything we need to. Assassin’s Creed Origins is set to be released on October 27th of this year to PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One and of course, the Xbox One X
