EA Create The Journey-like Mode In Madden 18 Longshot

Madden is getting the same treatment that FIFA got last year. Similar to the role playing story mode in FIFA 17, madden 18 will be getting the same treatment with their own personalized story-line mode called Longshot, featuring a new protagonist, Devin Wade who will allow players to experience the life, and the ups and downs of being a NFL player.

The Characters:

This forgotten college star, played by JR Lemon, returns home to pursue his dreams and find football redemption.
Played by Academy Award-winning actor Mahershala Ali, Cutter was once a great athlete who dedicated his life to Devin and their shared passion for football.
Played by Scott Porter, this happy-go-lucky jokester is a fiercely loyal friend who cares about Devin’s shot in the NFL as much as his own.
One of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, Marino serves as Devin’s mentor who doesn’t always play by the rules.

Last year there were so many new players playing FIFA because of the story mode, and we foresee the same thing happening to NFL.

The publisher also showed some glimpses of Madden on Project Scorpio, and it looks stunning. The publisher said they are already creating amazing visuals using their Frostbite engine and Microsoft’s new console. More about the game on the new console will be shown at Microsoft’s press conference tomorrow.

NFL 18 will launch on PS4 and Xbox One later this August 25th 2017. We were hoping we’d see a PC version as well this year, but it seems we’re not there yet.
