HyperX Pulsefire FPS First Impressions

Staying in tune with our gaming peripheral highlights we must mention the HyperX Pulsefire FPS. The first in line of HyperX mice. The Pulsefire FPS makes for a nice addition to the HyperX line of gaming peripherals, the ergonomic design makes for a easy mouse to hold on to and utilize during the long gaming sessions we all get into during the late weekend nights.

DPI Quick change from 400 DPI – 3200 DPI

The Pulsefire rocks a Pixart 3310 DPI sensor that gives the Pulsefire a precision based FPS experience. Along with the lightning fast Pixart Sensor the Pulsefire has a convenient pre programmed DPI switch conveniently behind the scroll wheel with color coordinated DPI settings that give you the ability to change your FPS and DPI preference on the fly. The preset button will smoothly transfer you from 400 dpi through 3200 dpi in four quick clicks. I found this extremely useful when going from long range combat to a more personal distance. The ease of changing my DPI not only can give you an advantage but be the difference between losing and pulling out a crazy show stopper win.

The Pulsefire like many of the other gaming mice we have reviewed comes equipped with a soft rubber gripping on the side. This not only feels comfortable on your hand but also ensures your hand is properly set when you needed it most.

Overall I must say the first few hours I used the Pulsefire I was very happy with how it performed and how comfortable it felt under my hand for extended periods of times. The Pulsefire is also a nice lightweight mouse but unlike some of the other mice I’ve tried around it’s price point it is evenly distributed throughout the mouse to give it a nice and even smooth glide. Part of that of course is the extra large sliders under the Pulsefire which give it a larger than normal silky smooth glide over the HyperX extra large gaming mouse. All this is bundled into the jaw dropping $49.99 price MSRP. I must say if you are looking to get a gaming mouse but not sure which one to get or are just tight on a budget the HyperX Pulsefire should definitely be a top contender.

If you’re a spec junky to see what I’ve already said but in numbers I’ll go ahead and add that below.
