One Piece World Seeker coming 2019
It looks like 2019 is going to be a big year for anime gaming nerds. BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. has recently released a new trailer for One Piece World Seeker. The upcoming action-adventure title, based on the popular One Piece manga and anime series, will be coming to Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC in 2019.
World Seeker will feature an original story which finds Straw Hat Captain Luffy marooned on Jewel Island. Devastated by war years ago, Jewel Island has begun to rebuild under the watchful eye of the Navy. The residents of the island stand divided. One one side the “Pro Navy” group who welcome the government’s control and modernization. On the other, “Anti-Navy” group who value the island’s traditions.
In the trailer we meet Jeanna, the young leader of the “Anti-Navy” group. Through what can only be assumed to be Straw Hat shenanigans, she must now work with Luffy to over throw Isaac, the warden of the massive prison which towers over the island.
With its expansive world and lore there are countless untold stories, One Piece has always been a fan favorite. One Piece World Seeker preps to capitalise on this by introducing a epic new tale with a few familiar old faces.
One Piece World Seeker does not yet have a confirmed release date. That said, we wait with baited breathe for this epic adventure in 2019.
