Persona 5’s Joker in Smash

The Game Awards 2018 was for the most part a somber event. It had it’t highlights, but for the most part it was business as usually. The event held in Los Angeles, California by Geoff Keighley was the epicenter of many new game announcements. Games like Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 for the Nintendo Switch. Some of the announcements were shocking, but none more so than the reveal of Persona 5‘s Joker in Smash.

I don’t think anyone anticipated this character being announced for Super Smash Bros Ultimate. The leader of the Phantom Thieves will be a DLC character so fans of him will have to splash a little more cash when he becomes available. His DLC will cost $5.99 USD and will include a new stage as well as a new music track. Joker will also be included as a part of the season pass which costs $24.99 USD.

We don’t usually recommend DLC, however given the amount of content already packed into the base game and the fact that Joker is an Atlus creation, this may just be the perfect DLC.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate is out today for the Nintendo Switch for $59.99 USD. The game offers single and multiplayer brawling with a massive rooster of Nintendo and third party characters.
