Pokémon 8th Generation – Sword and Shield Announced
Trainer around the world, the time has come once more to answer the call. Today during the Nintendo Pokémon Direct, the 8th Generation of the Pokémon franchise has been confirmed. Get your PokéBalls ready because it’s time for a new adventure with Pokémon Sword and Shield!
Confirmed to be in development during E3 2017, details of Gen 8 have been kept well under wraps. During today’s Nintendo Direct, the new games have officially been confirmed with the above launch trailer. Are you ready to take a trip to the Galar Region? Pokémon Sword and Shield will return to the classic battle and capture mechanics of its predecessors – RIP Let’s Go mechanics. The new Starter Pokémon for the 8th generation were also revealed. Pokémon Sword and Shield will be release in Late 2019. Fans of the Pokémon franchise old and new could not be more excited! Finally something to look forward to for 2019 holiday season – I’m totally greeking out hard here! Stay tuned for more details as soon as they become available!
