‘The Retro Play Show’ #33 & 34: “Rayman” (Jaguar Ver!)

Since I’ve been working offline on producing a new Retro Play series focusing on Rayman 2: The Great Escape for the Nintendo 64, I thought it might be fun to take a look at the series’ roots and do a play session of the original version of the first game – the one that was released on the Atari Jaguar in 1994. Besides, the Jaguar really doesn’t get enough attention, and the game was actually pretty decent.

This ended up being a two-part thing, partially because of the fact that I had some settings messed up in XSplit (and potentially with the emulator itself) and thus the first stream ended up suffering from performance spikes and thus it did not go well when these spikes were in critical parts of the game 😛 But, things went much better in the second attempt of the game. Thus, I had more fun, though I am not sure I will bother doing a complete playthrough, but instead may keep this as more of a demonstration of a cool game that you should try one day!
