Most Exciting Gamescom 2023 Games thus far

Gamescom 2023 has finally kicked off and it’s been thus far we’ve had a lot in just a night and a half. As such we’ve already seen quite a few Gamescom 2023 Games that have us excited. We’re sure there will be more to come during the week but so far these are the ones that has us the most excited:

Mandragora

First on the list is Mandragora. This action-RPG by Mavelous and Primal Game Studio challenges the player in the 2.5D world of Faelduum with epic weapons and brutal combat. This is a grim and vivid world full of unforgettable NPCs, unique enemies, and complex moral dilemmas. Encounter horrific monsters and terrifying creatures in a wide variety of vibrant locations, from dark forests, deadly swamps and abandoned dungeons, to frozen mountains and burning deserts. What we’ve seen so far reminds us of trine meets a Metroidvania and all of it looks brilliant.

Mandragora is a coming to Windows PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch in 2024.

Grandblue Fantasy: Relink

Next on the list is the long awaited Granblue Fantasy: Relink. The game has finally, finally received an official release date. This is a JRPG that we in the community have been joking would never see the light of day but it seems that the joke is finally over and we’re all the more happy for it.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink offers a complete single-player experience as well as cooperative online multiplayer action. Unite with others to tackle more than 100 quests that feature various goals and enemies! Thanks to a diverse roster of characters, unique weapons, gorgeous visuals and what seems to be an epic story, we can’t help but be excited.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink releases globally both in physical (with XSEED Games) and digital formats for PlayStation®5 and PlayStation®4, and in digital format for the Steam® platform on February 1, 2024.

Starfield

We’re just a few weeks out and yet, Starfield continues to excite us. To be transparent, I’ve personally not been excited for a Bethesda game for probably ever but Starfield has me hooked. maybe it’s the Mass Effect like vibe, maybe it’s the visuals, maybe it’s the sense of freedom, maybe it’s all of the above.

Starfield is the first new universe in over 25 years from Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning creators of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4. In this next generation role-playing game set amongst the stars, create any character you want and explore with unparalleled freedom as you embark on an epic journey to answer humanity’s greatest mystery.

Starfield Launches on Xbox Series X|S, Windows and Steam on September 9th, 2023.

Black Myth: Wukong

Games from China have been improving at an impressive rate over the years and none embody that more than Black Myth: Wukong.

The game has been described as Souls-like based on Journey to the West. With the player controlling the titular “Monkey” character, based on Sun Wukong, referred to in the game as “the Destined One”. In it you fight through an assortment of enemies, transform into a flying insect or a giant monster. Visually this may just be the best looking game at the show and easily the one of the best excuses to get a current Gen console or upgrade your PC (if you can).

Black Myth: Wukong is currently scheduled for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC during summer 2024.

These are the most exciting Gamescom 2023 Games thus far but we’re sure we’ll have top update this list with more in the coming days. Until then, feel free to share yours with us.
