“Gaia” + “Ys Origin” = Dual Finales!

I recently wrapped up two projects that I had been working on, and thus I wanted to make sure that you guys didn’t miss out on either of them!

First up is the final episode of Illusion of Gaia for the SNES! Here, we finally traveled to the famed Tower of Babel to confront our destiny. We have to face a boss rush that proved more difficult than I thought it would be and then a final boss that I greatly underestimated. Nonetheless, after a bit of tool-assisted abuse, I pull through and defeat Dark Gaia and free the Earth from its illusory fate. The finale is interesting, to say the least, and I was very happy to have finally beaten this game.

At some point, I’ll be following it up with Terranigma, which is a sequel released in Europe and Japan on the SNES in 1996.

With this seventh episode, we reach the conclusion of my Let’s Stream series on Ys Origin for the PC.

I was unsure of whether I would beat the final boss in this video or not, but this time around Yunica gets her revenge on the man who murdered her father, ascends through the Demonic Core itself, and confronts Lord Dalles in a final standoff. Dalles is extremely difficult, forcing me to get Level 51 to even stand a real chance against him, and even so victory is tough for me to obtain. Lot’s of four-letter words and bouts of anger!

Also, I realized that Twitch didn’t keep up with the 3,500kbps bitrate I had used in some places, probably because I was also doing 1080p at 60 frames-per-second. Next time I attempt a 60 FPS video on Twitch, I will keep the data cap in mind and lower the resolution to 720p, which should make it look and run much better.

Hopefully you guys enjoyed Ys Origin! Sometime, if someone picks it up for me on Steam, I will take on Ys Chronicles I & II, continuing the saga.

I’ve got a new Let’s Play series on Torchlight coming up soon, as well as a Retro Play series on Rayman 2: The Great Escape on the Nintendo 64, so there is plenty to look forward to!
