Nintendo showcases indie games at Nindies @Night

Nintendo took over Seattle’s famous EMP museum in Seattle to show off “nindie” games soon to be available on Nintendo’s platforms this summer. Under a welcoming blue glow, hundreds gathered in various queues to try out games like Severed, Azure Striker Gunvolt 2, and Jotun. All of these games and more are part of the #Nindies Summer Jam, a curated list of indie games available or coming soon to the 3DS or WiiU. The highlight of the Summer Jam will be a new Indie title released at a special price every Thursday in September:

Though the queues to each game were quite long, we did get to experience Severed. Severed, once a Vita exclusive, uses both screens on the WiiU or 3DS by putting the map on whichever screen is not active. In addition, Severed will be Cross-Buy for both the WiiU and 3DS, so you don’t need to choose which version to buy.
