PlayStation Plus free games for November
As you ponder this month’s choices for PlayStation Plus, you may wish you had better options to vote for the use of your gaming time. Surely there was a better candidate available in the pool of games out there?
Alas, fellow Plus subscribers to the PlayStation Nation, these may not be the games we wanted, but these are the games we must choose from. With out further ado, let’s take a look at the PlayStation Plus free games for October.
Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, PS4
Everybody’s Gone to The Rapture looks amazing at first. The rural English town in the game is quaint and beautiful. But as you wander the countryside and village, you’ll come to realize the carefully crafted image is mostly a facade, a shell without depth. Limited interaction with the environment and ghostly messages from the past flesh out the mystery of the missing villagers, but the unfulfilled promise of the beautifully crafted setting may leave you feeling empty and hollow.
The Deadly Tower of Monsters, PS4
Counting on nostalgia to earn your vote, Deadly Tower of Monsters brings the player back to a simpler time, a time when a steel jawed hero with a laser blaster was all it took to save the world from bug eyed monsters. But did anyone think to try talking to the hapless aliens first? No, it’s always shoot first, then build a giant dome to keep them out.
Dirt 3, PS3
This game isn’t afraid to get down and dirty. Aggressively racing to the finish, these rally cars will fling mud on all their opponents in pursuit of their goal. At the end of the day, no one comes out of this race looking clean.
Costume Quest 2, PS3
Sometimes a good idea comes along, but it’s just a bit too late. Like cutting carbon emissions after global warming accelerates past the tipping point. Or releasing a cute game about trick-or-treaters fighting candy thieving goblins the month AFTER Halloween.
Letter Quest Remastered, PS Vita (Cross buy with PS4)
Grimm is the literal embodiment of Death and his only slightly less frightening female counterpart Rose. They fling words like weapons to defeat their foes in this turn based RPG.
Pumped BMX+, PS Vita (Cross buy with PS4 and PS3)
Sometimes you just want to get wasted and do some sick flips on your BMX. This game is here for you. It probably wouldn’t be against another bag of chips and some delivery pizza either. Probably less than 5% will pick this as the best of the lineup, but the ones that do will have a good time, man.
Well, those are your choices. Don’t forget to vote, I mean download, before it’s too late and everything is lost.
