Browsing on Windows 10 starting to sound pretty interesting

Spartan browser

New information about Windows 10’s new browser (code named Spartan) has surfaced and it all sounds pretty interesting. The new browser that will be shipped along with windows 10 will feature Cortana support, a new way to share webpages with others and full cross platform support.  As someone that has Cortana on his phone I can tell you that it is an extremely useful and fun app to use. It’s not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, as it does get some things wrong when deciphering my Trinidadian accent, however it does get quite a lot right. Having that functionality join my browsing is something that I think would benefit me quite a bit.

Look out for my Windows Phone 8.1 review soon 😉

As for the Website sharing feature it seems to allow users to share annotations via Windows cloud storage application, OneDrive.

Spartan will be updated on multiple platforms such as phones, tablets and PC so as to offer the same familiar user experience and features to all end users. Just think how nice it is to use chrome on your desktop and then go on you tab/phone and see all you bookmarks, settings and such all there waiting for you. It’s really nice to see Microsoft going the Google way with their web browsing technology. I love it.
Microsoft has stated that it will continue to offer Internet Explorer as an alternative for those that desire to use that as their browsing preference, but it seems that this new browser will be the flagship browser for Microsoft and Windows going forward.
