Mushroom Wars Impressions

Real-time strategy games are quite popular, with some stand out games being StarCraft, WarCraft, and the ever booming League of Legends. Mushroom Wars is very beginner friendly and a great place to test the waters of this deep genre.

The gameplay found in this game is quite straight forward. Gather minions, upgrade buildings, and manage where everything is. While I may not be a fan of RTS games, I challenged myself to play the hardest difficulty… because I am a hardcore gamer obviously. Turns out hard mode is the only difficulty where I had to try multiple strategies, before completing a mission in the campaign.

This 7 year old game has really dimmed in the face of many others in the same category. I had a good time playing the demo on my ps3 when it was first release, but I now realize that this is not type of game I would invest myself in.
