Bethesda E3 Press Conference Breakdown

Bethesda held their E3 press conference yesterday, and for the most part I was underwhelmed. I’ve been vocal here on The Buttonsmashers in the past about not really being a fan of FPS games, and with Bethesda main focus being FPS titles, it should come as no surprise that their conference for the most part didn’t resonate with me.  I said ‘for the most part’, because the publisher did showcase one game that got my attention, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. The game looks like it has an engaging story that would grip the attention of players, and not let go till the credits roll. My kind of game. It also looks a lot more vibrant than all the other stuff that the publisher had prepared for the show.

Excluding The Evil within 2, every other title on display seemed like either an update or a very familiar concept. Fans of these titles would probably be excited, but for me I feel like E3 is a time to show off new titles, not updates.

Here is a list of the other items they covered:

  • Dishonored: Death of the Outsider
  • The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind
  • The Elder Scrolls: Legends Heroes of Skyrim
  • Quake Champions
  • Doom VFR
  • Fallout 4 VR
  • The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for Nintendo Switch
  • Creation Club
