Philippe Coutinho Named Cover Star For PES 2018 In Brazil
Current, at the moment, may change in a few days, Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho is a new PES ambassador who will don the cover of PES 2018 exclusively in Brazil. As one of the world’s most celebrated footballers, Coutinho’s venerable and distinct play style will be available for PES fans to control and maneuver in-game.
KONAMI also announces that it has entered into an exclusive in-game license and marketing agreement with CR Vasco da Gama, one of Brazil’s most popular football clubs. As part of the partnership, fans will be able to play their favorite Vasco da Gama players as well as play epic matches at the club’s home stadium, Estádio São Januário, which will all be exclusively featured in PES 2018.
“True to its name, Vasco da Gama is a champion club with a rich legacy that is situated among other elite teams in the country’s most prestigious league, and we will strive to faithfully recreate in PES 2018,” said Takayuki Kubo, President of Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. “We know fans will be excited to see yet another one of their beloved teams featured in-game, as well as offer Vasco da Gama enthusiasts a fresh way to continue relishing in the excitement of their favorite club through PES.”

Other exclusive premiere licensed clubs from Brazil that will be showcased in PES 2018 include: Sport Club Corinthians Paulista (Corinthians), Clube de Regatas do Flamengo (Flamengo). The upcoming title will also include Brazil’s most famous tournament Campeonato Brasileiro of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).
Adding to its roster of PES Legends, KONAMI also names Romário de Souza Faria (known simply as Romário) and Socrates. PES fans will be able to unlock the legendary striker and attacking midfielder respectively as in-game players exclusively for myClub.
PES 2018 will be available on September 12th in the Americas and September 14th globally on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox360 and PC Steam.
