Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry Premiers May 6th
Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry, the 2nd anime film inspired by Hiro Mashima’s acclaimed Fairy Tail series has officially been confirmed to premier in Japan on May 6th this year. Additional cast and character information for the film has been released along with the latest promotional poster tag lined “That power … is it hope or destruction…?”
Returning cast and character designs have officially been confirmed for all of our favorites, all with new outfits.

– Yūichi Nakamura as Gray Fullbuster
– Sayaka Ohara as Erza Scarlet

The announcement also revealed 3 new original characters created just for the film; Sonia, a beautiful young woman, Zash, a man who looks both evil and strong and Animus, a man who looks like a king based on his garments, and whose expression suggests he has an ulterior motive.
The series has already seen success with its first anime film Fairy Tail the Movie: Phoenix Priestess as well as its two anime adaptions and manga telling. With the anime itself currently on hiatus, many fans are looking to this film to give them their Fairy Tail fix. Be sure to keep an eye out for more details as they become available
