Pokemon the fighting game?

So its official. Pokemon is apparently getting a Fighting game developed by the guys behind the popular Tekkan series. this is not the first time that they have worked with Nintendo characters, but the last time it was just in the form of skins for their already established characters. This time around however it seems that the characters will be actual fully new designs for a hopefully a  new franchise.

From watching the Trailer I’d describe it as sort of a Dragonball Z style of combat, excluding the flying of course. The game is set to be released in Japan next year via Arcade systems, but there is no word on whether it will make it to the Wii U or to the West… Fingers crossed this one may be the beginning of a new big franchise.
