Every !So! often: Interesting Questions

blind understanding

This article is not similar to the others that I usually write, but it is based on things that I think about and I that I needed to write about and so I have. So please keep an open mind before proceeding.

What if everyone in the entire world was blind for a year?

I ask this theoretical question because I’m curious as to how we humans would treat each other if we were unable to see each other by not just colour, but also physical appearance. Would you have the same friends? Would you work in the same place, would you date the same people, would you be married to the person you’re married to now?

These are questions that I ask myself when I think about this topic. It’s an interesting idea to think about and I urge you who are reading this to just take a moment, close your eyes, and think about it for about thirty to sixty minutes. If after thinking about this question for a while you think that maybe things would be different in your life were all blind for a year and couldn’t see each other’s physical appearances, then maybe you should make some changes in your life. Maybe you need to stop keeping the company of that bloke that you call a friend who always has something bad to say about everyone you know, or maybe you need to stop dating that guy who you can’t stand to interact with unless it’s physical.

Now take a moment stop whatever you’re doing, find a nice quiet place and ask yourself this question; What would my life be like now if a year ago I lost the ability to see?
