Windows 10 release Today, Should you get it?
Today, July 29th is the official public release date for Windows 10. The Nex…. oh wait sorry, current version of the Windows Operation System platform. This New **OS brings together all the things we liked about Windows 7 and 8 in one neat package. The interface is a lot more similar to 7 than 8, but the functionality and variety is a bit more akin to 8 than 7. Microsoft said they skipped calling it 9 because of the gap between it and 8, and in a way they are right. Features like Cortana, the Xbox app and the new notification center set aside from any OS that *MS has done before, and they bring it a lot closer to the functionality of mobile Technology like smart phones and tablets while managing to keep all the robust aspects that make it a PC OS.

If you already have windows 7 or 8 you should be able to upgrade your PC to Windows 10 for free during this first year of it’s release. Currently 190 countries across the globe should be able to update. That means that you can potentially upgrade now. Some of you may be considering holding out on this update for now because of MS past track record with new OS releases, but I can safely say that as someone that is involved with the insider program, it is a safe bet to upgrade now. The last two update we insiders got have been really stable so there is very little chance of system crashes or loss of data. There is also full application support for any programs that you may have been using before the update. All the applications that we regularly use just worked after the update. These included; Steam, Origin, Photoshop, Sony Vegas, Google Chrome, ITunes and more.
As of this moment we can safely confirm that Windows 10 is a stable OS that is better than both 7 and 8. If you can we highly recommend getting the update.

Have to disagree sadly. While 10 will be a better OS at the minute win 8.1 is still more stable for gaming. Quite a few games seem to be struggling on win10, and not just older ones. Recent titles such as Witcher 3 and Arkham Knight have crashing issues tied to the OS.
Frankly it’s better to treat it like all new OS from microsoft, wait a while, usually around 4-6months for it be a solid OS.
That said it hasn’t released for everyone either. While it’s ‘officially’ been released, for what ever reason MS decided to do incremental updates. So it could be as far away as 6 weeks still for some people
I’ve also heard of a few people computers heating up and fans having to work harder to keep them cooler. So i’ve put off the update AS mainly i’ve heard this from my friends with gaming rigs.
