What You Should Play While Waiting On God Wars Future Perfect

I’ve mentioned numerous times here on The Buttonsmashers, and elsewhere about how much I’m looking forward to the upcoming tactical RPG by NIS America, God Wars Future Past. I’ve always loved this particular genre that God Wars belongs to, and so I was really looking forward to playing this particular game in a couple weeks, but as many of you may know, God Wars Future Past has been delayed till June 20th (NA)/16th (EU) 2017 from it’s original release date of March 28, 2017 (NA) and March 31, 2017 (EU).

NIS America stated that the game is being delayed to allow for additional development and in-game balancing to ensure the best possible experience for gamers, and I don’t doubt them. I have reviewed a previous title from NIS America that had some bugs, that they were eager to fix after gaining feedback from myself an other reviewers. So, If they say they need more time with the game to make it better then I’m OK with that; however, that leaves a void that needs to be filled due to God Wars not being released this month. As such I have constructed a list of games releasing this month that “I” will most likely be playing while I patiently wait for June 20th.

Mass Effect Andromeda

I was planning on splitting my time between this title and God Wars during the latter part of this month, but with God Wars out of the picture I’ll be possibly spending more time with Bioware’s upcoming title more than any other game this month. I have always been a fan of science fiction, and the Mass Effect games offer it in a manor that I fancy.

Summon Night 6: Lost Borders

(Update: We’ve received information from Summon Night 6’s Publisher that the game will be released on May 23rd, 2017. This puts it at a later date than God Wars, so we’ll be focusing on the other 3 title for this month instead, and we’ll revisit this one after we’ve finished with God Wars)

I haven’t played a Summon Nights game since the Gameboy Advance, and this one looks like it may be quite an interesting experience. I am also excite about this one because it is a tactical RPG similar to the aforementioned God Wars.

Troll and I

This one is in the list out of curiosity more so than anything. This is a new action-adventure from Spiral House studio that I find to be quite interesting. The game involves a boy and a Troll on a quest to find a new home. The dynamic between a young character, and a giant is not a new concept, but this one looks like it may be done really well.

Shiness: The Lightning Kingdom

My interest in this particular title is unquestionably related to it’s look. I have always been a fan of games with anime inspired graphical styles, and this one is no different. I also like that this is also an RPG, my preferred genre. I’m not sure what to expect form it other than that, but those to aspects are enough to have my interest.
So, there we have it. These are the games that I am most interested in playing this month, what about you? Are there any games that will be taking up a lot of your time this month?
