Samurai Riot Coming to STEAM

French indie studio, Wako Factory will be launching their arcade co-op beat’em up Samurai Riot on Steam, September 13th 2017.

“Easy to pick up, but difficult to master, Samurai Riot rewards the more demanding gamer with deeper content.”

Jump into a beautifully hand-painted 2D universe for an adventure inspired by 90’s classics and Japanese mythology. Samurai Riot is a side scrolling beat’em up with original co-op features, as well as a branching, moral decision based storyline which can lead to eight different endings. Play as Sukane, the enigmatic ninja and fight alongside Azu, the fox – who can transform into weapons; or Tsurumaru, the loyal samurai with a katana and a bunch of grenades. Take your pick!

“Would you rather kill the rebel leader or betray your master and join the revolution?”

Choose to follow your master’s orders to stop the turmoil of Civil War between tradition and modernity. By making deep moral choices which demand serious reflection, resolve the unstable political situation and discover the true meaning of honour as a samurai.

“Every choice matters in Samurai Riot and each decision you’ll make will lead to a unique narrative path, with a completely different story!”

Develop your own way of playing by mixing different ways of fighting. Punch, kick, grab, throw, poison or bomb the place – there are so many ways to bring down Samurai Riot enemies and bosses that include massive Sumo wrestlers with law enforcement shields, trigger-happy ninjas, mythological Yokais and more.

“Samurai Riot is a game that can judge the quality of your cooperation. For example, if you protect your partner’s back or hit together the same enemy, you’ll be rewarded and unlock a deadly cooperative attack! Even the story involves both players equally, you’ll have to make team-based choices, or enter a PVP fight against your partner to win the lead!”
