UEFA EURO 2020 Update Coming To PES 2020 Next Month

Due to the impact of the corona virus most sporting events have been cancelled or postponed till 2021. One of the most high profiled ones is the European football tournament – UEFA EURO 2020. The event was set to feature 55 nations all battling for the status of best in Europe.

With the event being cancelled, many were speculating as to what it would mean for the digital version due to be added to eFootball PES 2020 on April 30th. After that date came and went with without a release, speculations that we’d see it included in PES 2021 this summer began to grow.

Konami however have other plans. The publisher announced that the update will in fact still be making it’s way to the current game on June 4th 2020.

We are pleased to announce that the postponed UEFA EURO 2020™ content update will release on 04/06/2020.

We apologise once again for the delay, and thank you for your continued support of PES 2020.

Stated the publisher in a blog post.

They planned on also releasing a physical retail version along with the update but unfortunately that had to be scrapped due to COVID-19. Instead it will only have a digital update for players with the full eFootball PES 2020 game. This doesn’t include players with eFootball PES 2020 Lite outside of maybe featured player promotions.

What will be included in the update:

ー UEFA EURO 2020™ (Cup / Local Match)
ー Wembley Stadium
ー Saint Petersburg Stadium
ー Official Trophy
ー Official Match Ball
ー UEFA National Teams (55 countries)

eFootball PES 2020 is currently available for the PS4, XBOX ONE and PC via Steam.
