Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life makes a big return

Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life was easily one of the best games of its generation but unfortunately lost on the PS2 and GameCube. It opted for a full a fully realised 3D world instead of the isometric perspective of its predecessors. This was a game changer for the Harvest Moon franchise and now it’s back. Earlier this week during Nintendo’s Direct it was announced by Marvelous and XSEED Games that it would be making a return as STORY OF SEASONS: A Wonderful Life for the Nintendo Switch.

STORY OF SEASONS: A Wonderful Life revisits the tranquil community of Forgotten Valley, where the protagonist fulfills their father’s dream of running a farm. As the seasons go by, players will find their lifelong partner, raise a child together, and watch them grow up. Will their child carry on the family’s farm legacy or find their calling somewhere else? Only time will tell…

Key Features

  • A Familiar Farm for a New Generation ‒ Revisit this iconic community with updated systems, character designs, and visuals that revitalize Forgotten Valley while maintaining the charm that made the original a classic.
  • Your Story, Your Way ‒ With the option to play as a male, female, or non-binary protagonist, as well as all eligible marriage candidates available for romance regardless of that choice, players can truly be who they want.
  • Farming Simulation Evolved ‒ The original farming features have been updated, bringing new excitement to the carefree life of growing crops and raising animals.
  • Living a Wonderful Life is More Than Just Farming ‒ While taking a break from your daily farm work, befriend memorable characters in the valley, help fellow residents with requests, and experience all-new events.

STORY OF SEASONS: A Wonderful Life is scheduled for release on the Nintendo Switch™ in summer 2023. The game will be published in North America by XSEED Games and in Europe by Marvelous Europe.
