New Trailer Released for Masquerade: The Baubles of Doom

Masquerade

Big Ant Studios and The Committee of Jesters have released a new trailer for their psychedelic comedic action-adventure game Masquerade: The Baubles of Doom which will be available to terrorize gamers on PCs and consoles next month.

Pitting a quick-witted, hard-hitting jester named Jaxx against an army of evil clown invaders, Masquerade: The Baubles of Doom harkens back to the lighthearted, silly action platformers of classic 3D gaming. Players will have to chain together combos of attacks, counters, dodges, superpowers and more while exploring dangerous territory and besting challenging tests of brains and brawn. It features bright art and world design to match its ridiculous fantasy premise and characters, with colorfully animated cutscenes to hammer home its style of comic mischief and energy.

The video showcases the many dangers posed to ordinary citizens by the different clowns invaders, think the joker on steroids. The game is designed old-school style and gamers get to play as the jester who oppose the evil clowns. It should go without saying that this game is not for anyone with coulrophobia (a fear of clowns).

Masquerade: The Baubles of Doom is scheduled for a digital release on April 20th for PS3 and PS4 at the PlayStation Store; Xbox One and Xbox 360 in the Xbox Games Store; and for PC via Steam. It is rated T for Teen.
