I’ve never been a HUGE fan of Super Smash Bro’s or other games like it, I never was really good at the fast paced grappling games. BUT with Brawlout I can see why there is such a following for games of this nature. Brawlout pits you and your friends OR online people against each other in a last man standing sort of way, calling back on the Super Smash Bro’s appeal Brawlout delivers a fun, colorful and very artistic take on this genre.

I had great pleasure of checking it out at PAX West and even showing how terrible I am at this style in front of many viewers. Overall I had a blast and it left me wanting to try it more. So below I’ve listed from the Developer what makes Brawlout so special and unique.

Brawlout sets it self apart with Online and local battles, with up to 8 player fights
Take part in online ranked tournaments, OR play locally with friends or go solo and battle it out through the campaign.

As you battle evolve and customize your characters
Each character starts out with more accessible attacks. You grow it with special attacks, new combo options, more movement abilities and advanced tech moves.

Like many Super Smash Bro games, Brawlout characters have vastly different combat styles.
Each character is designed around a unique fighting style, to make each fight more strategic: grapple opponents, freeze them, dive kick their face, bomb them with projectiles or smash them with long range whips.

The thing that caught my attention though would be the rage meter.
The Rage meter is Powerful special attack that will consume your rage meter. When filled up, your character gets much tougher.

As for Characters each one is completely different, from different walks of life. They have been hand choosen by their respective cultures to be Gods among mere mortals to battle it out and fight no only each other BUT apparently a Demon sent to ruin their planet.

For a list of the playable characters so far I’ve attached them below, you’ll notice the art style as well.
